Trevor ClintonSmith, Jr.

I became an attorney after serving our country as a V.I.S.T.A. Volunteer (the so-called “Domestic Peace Corps”). The concept of service was a natural progression. A high school injury (neck fracture without paralysis) had prevented me from enrolling in the military in which I had hoped to be the third-generation naval aviator in my family.

Clinton Smith has been rated AV Preeminent for over twenty-eight years by Martindale-Hubbell (AV Preeminent is the “Highest Possible Peer Review Rating in Legal Ability & Ethical Standards”). Martindale-Hubbell is the original and oldest attorney peer review rating program in the world. Martindale-Hubbell does not seek nor publish peer review ratings of law firms, it only publishes peer review ratings of individual attorneys.

He has been included in “Top Attorneys in Massachusetts” by Boston Magazine for over ten years, a “Super Lawyers” for over ten years.

Clinton has been recognized as a Super Lawyer™ for over 10 years, and named one of the “Top Attorneys in Massachusetts” for 10 years. He has had tremendous success with a personal injury jury verdict amount of $14 million (Dram Shop Case with Catastrophic Brain Injury to a child) and a highest personal injury pre-trial settlement amount of $9.02 million (Medical Malpractice case with Catastrophic Brain Injury to a child). He has numerous other multimillion dollar settlements and verdicts.

Clinton is admitted to practice in: Massachusetts State Courts, Federal District Court of Massachusetts, Federal 1st Circuit Court of Appeals, United States Supreme Court. Also admitted “pro hac vice” on a number of occasions to try cases in New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
